U.S. Study Visa Types 2022-2023.
The following types of U.S. study visas are available:
#1. F-1 visa.
This is the most popular type of visa for international students who wish to study at American schools that are recognized by the Student and Exchange Visitors Program (S.E.V.P.). This visa is non-immigrant. The duration of the program that was applied determines the validity of the study visa.
#2. M-1 visa.
This visa is non-immigrant and allows you to remain in the U.S.A. for non-educational purposes. This visa allows you to obtain vocational or non-academic education. If you are offered vocational training at any junior college or community for at least 12 semesters, the U.S. Department of State will issue you an M-1 visa.
Application Process
Follow these simple steps to apply for a U.S. Study Visa.
STEP-1: Apply six months prior to the S.E.V.P. approved school.
STEP-2 – Pay the application fee to the S.E.V.P. form.
STEP-3: Submit your U.S. student visa application with recent photos.
STEP-4: Submit the fee for the U.S. Study Visa cost.
STEP-5: Wait for the interview call.
S.E.V.P. School Application
International candidates are advised to search for schools and universities that S.E.V.P. approves. The University/college will provide you with all the documentation required for U.S. Study Visa applications. All students selected will be enrolled in S.E.V.I.S. (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) and will receive a SEMIS-generated I-20.
S.E.V.I.S. fees:
The fees for S.E.V.I.S. must be submitted within three days. Three days must pass before you can submit the application form.
F/M visa holders can get the I-901 at $200.
J visa holders can pay $180 for the I-901
Print out the receipt for payment. During the application process, you will need to present it as proof of payment.
DS-160 Online visa application:
International candidates applying for the U.S. Study Visa must submit a DS160 online form. These are the things you will need to apply:
D.O.B. With name
Contact details, email and address.
You will need to give details about your past visits to the U.S.
Passport information page copy
Contact Point in the U.S.A.
Information about family employment and school details.
Information about security, medical insurance and other topics
Upload a recent photo to the photo section on the application form.

A photograph taken recently at size 2''x2'(5cmx5cm).
